Nazareth 2000

Blessing

Ramez Jarrisi Ramez Jarrisi
Mayor Of Nazareth:

For many years, Nazareth has been a neglected city, incapable of fulfilling its tourism potential, its unique crypts and corners remaining hidden under a dusty layer of rundown infrastructure.
With the new partnership of the current Israeli government and Nazareth citizenry, a new era has begun for our ancient city.
We now have the funding and monies necessary to develop the tourism infrastructure in Nazareth, and at the same time upgrade the quality of life in the city of Nazareth.
The year 2000 is our catalyst for this infrastructure overhaul, as the year "O" began in the city of Nazareth.
The original inhabitants of Nazareth started this time line which is now about to enter a new century.
In order to celebrate this historical moment, we are embarking on a massive project to renovate and develop the tourism infrastructure of Nazareth.
It is our intention to beautify our ancient city, and preserve the site marked by the birth of Jesus.

The Israel Government Tourist Corporation (IGTC) is expecting an unprecedented number of tourists in the year 2000. The city of Nazareth, representing the site of the anniversary of Annunciation, will serve as one of the main centers of celebration throughout the country.
We have began preparations for a national project that will take place in Nazareth in the year 2000 by renovating the infrastructure of the city and adding historical tourist attractions. We are encouraging the participation of private companies and investors in this significant and ambitious international project.

Nazareth offers enormous investment potential. The Israeli Ministry of Tourism extends a warm welcome and offers assistance to all investors interested in this opportunity. Join us in recognizing Israel's past, while fulfilling the needs of the future, through investing in tourism.
